Question 1

Where is Crafters located?

Accepted Answer

Crafters Furniture and Interior Design is at Gacuriro 55, KG 375 St, Kigali, Rwanda. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 9am–2pm; closed on Sunday. Call +250 781 850 395 or email craftersfurnitureidrw@gmail.com.

Question 2

Is the design consultation free?

Accepted Answer

No — a consultation fee of RWF 50,000 is paid upfront before the site visit. If you proceed with the project afterward, that RWF 50,000 is deducted from your final agreed price. Quotations for catalogue pieces are free.

Question 3

How much does a custom kitchen cost?

Accepted Answer

Fitted kitchen cabinetry starts from RWF 700,000, depending on size. This starting price reflects labour cost; the final quote depends on materials, worktops and finishes.

Question 4

How long does a custom furniture order take?

Accepted Answer

A single piece such as a sofa, bed or dining table normally takes 2–4 weeks from confirmed drawings. Fitted kitchens and wardrobes take 3–6 weeks, and full interior fit-outs are scheduled after a site visit.

Question 5

Do you deliver outside Kigali?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Crafters delivers and installs anywhere in Rwanda. Delivery inside Kigali is included on most full-room orders; upcountry deliveries are quoted based on distance and volume.

Question 6

Do you handle full interior design projects?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Crafters offers end-to-end interior design: space planning, 3D drawings, joinery, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, sofas, office partitioning and ceiling design for homes, offices, hotels, restaurants and retail spaces.

Question 7

What does a project with Crafters involve from start to finish?

Accepted Answer

Every project starts with a conversation about how you live or work, followed by a measured site visit, design drawings and 3D renders, material selection, manufacturing in our workshop, then delivery and installation.

Question 8

Does Crafters manufacture furniture in-house or import it?

Accepted Answer

Everything is manufactured in our own Kigali workshop. Joinery, cabinetry, sofa upholstery, marble and stone tops, metalwork, kitchen units, wardrobes, ceilings and partitioning are all produced in-house, which lets us adjust dimensions and finishes to your exact space.

Question 9

What makes Crafters different from other furniture makers in Kigali?

Accepted Answer

Crafters combines a modern African design sensibility with premium materials — solid oak and walnut, tempered glass, brushed brass, natural marble and hand-picked upholstery fabrics. Design and manufacturing sit in the same team, so drawings, dimensions, finishes and delivery dates are all under one point of responsibility.

Question 10

How long has Crafters been working in Rwanda?

Accepted Answer

For over five years we have designed, built, upholstered and installed one-of-a-kind pieces for homes, offices, restaurants and retail spaces across Rwanda. Many clients return for a second, third and fourth project.

Question 11

What materials do you use for cabinets and wardrobes?

Accepted Answer

Mainly 18mm MDF with melamine, acrylic or lacquer finishes, plus solid oak, walnut and mahogany where a timber finish is required. Worktops are quartz, granite or solid wood, and all cabinets use soft-close hinges and full-extension runners.

Question 12

Can you re-upholster or repair existing furniture?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We repair frames, replace webbing and foam, and recover sofas and chairs in a fabric or leather of your choice, usually within one to two weeks.
